Dr. Gina Marie Longo was a fellow-in-residence at the University of Amsterdam

December 2, 2021

During late October and early November 2021, Dr. Gina Marie Longo was a fellow-in-residence at the University of Amsterdam to develop her ideas on digital spaces and U.S. family reunification into a manuscript ready for submission to Migration Politics. During her time in Amsterdam, she participated in a public presentation, intensive feedback sessions with the editorial team, networking with other fellows and other migration scholars working in or near Amsterdam. Migration Politics is a highly competitive journal (3-5% acceptance rate) that publishes peer-reviewed scholarly contributions on the politics involved in representing, controlling and managing migration. It promotes interdisciplinary conversations amongst Geographers, Political Scientists, Anthropologists, Historians, Sociologists and Lawyers on the relationship between migration and political institutions, processes and power. Contributions present theoretically challenging ideas meant to challenge our current thinking on the dynamics of immigration and migration.
