Minor in Sociology

Minor Requirements

The minor curriculum in sociology seeks to provide students with a basic understanding of the fundamental principles and theories of sociology.  In addition to the University requirements for the undergraduate degree in the chosen major, the coursework for a sociology minor consists of 18 credit hours to include:

Required Courses:

  • Introduction to Sociology
  • Foundations of Theory
  • 12 hours in approved upper level electives
