Academic Advising
We strongly recommend that students schedule annual advising appointments to ensure adequate completion of their degree.
Students considered seniors (91+ earned credit hours) should schedule advising meetings for their final semesters to ensure all qualifications have been met towards graduation and they have filed the necessary paperwork to graduate.
While advising has moved online, available meeting times and drop-in hours can still be found via Navigate. Drop-ins can be used for more immediate questions, and scheduled appointments should be used to review standing, review degree audits and plan for registration.
Make an Appointment
Appointments can be made by accessing the “Advising Appointment” link on your My VCU homepage. Only available slots will be shown, the calendar shows appointments two weeks out at a time. You must schedule an appointment at least 24 hours ahead of the appointment time.
Zoom invites will be emailed as your meeting time approaches. Please allow 48 business hours for a response and do not forward emails already sent during this time. Emails will be answered in the order received.
