This workshop will address why to pursue a Ph.D. in Sociology and beyond in the 2020s and how to prepare for a successful application package. The workshop is designed to help students combat structural inequalities and navigate through the maze of the application process. Everyone is welcome. First-generation students, students of color, gender/sexual minorities, international students and VCU alums are encouraged to join this conversation.
