Societies and Associations
- The American Sociological Association is the largest professional association of sociologists in the United States. A non-profit founded in 1905, the ASA is “dedicated to advancing sociology as a scientific discipline and profession serving the public good.” Its website features many resources about the discipline.
- The Southern Sociological Society represents sociologists in U.S. southern states.
- With members from over 160 countries, the International Sociological Association promotes sociological knowledge worldwide.
- The Eastern Sociological Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in sociological scholarship and instruction.
